“Orbis Imaginalis: Fictions of the Visible” examines the image as a self-generating system of visibility. Taking Jorge Luis Borges’ “Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius” as its conceptual framework, the exhibition approaches pictorial space through repetition and internal coherence. The image acquires epistemic force through formal relations unfolding within the pictorial field itself. Figuration and landscape appear as mutable configurations shaped through continuous visual reorganisation.
The works of Irina Annina, Irina Drozd, Ivan Plusch, Dmitry Shorin, Eva Shorina and Olga Tobreluts construct pictorial systems in which bodies, architectural fragments and landscapes circulate through layered image structures.
